West News Wire: According to numerous people acquainted with the situation who spoke to news channels, former president Donald Trump’s anticipated news conference to deny the claims made in the indictment presented by the Fulton County DA’s Office is now very much in doubt.
According to sources, several of Trump’s lawyers have encouraged him to cancel the press conference because they believe that having one with such questionable charges of voter fraud will only make his legal issues worse.
Shortly after being indicted along with 18 other defendants in Georgia late Monday, Trump posted on social media about the upcoming press conference. In his prepared remarks, he stated that he would provide “A Large, Complex, Detailed but Irrefutable REPORT on the Presidential Election Fraud which took place in Georgia.”
The governor of Georgia, a Republican, responded to that by writing on social media, “The 2020 election in Georgia was not rigged. Anyone with proof of fraud has been waiting almost three years to come forward, swear under oath, and present their case in court.
Florida Governor Ron DeSantis stated during his campaign in Iowa that he agreed with Kemp. The previous vice president, Mike Pence, agreed when he stated on Wednesday that “the Georgia election was not stolen.”
The 2020 presidential election in Georgia has been carefully reviewed and re-reviewed. Three additional counts, including a manual recount of the almost 5 million ballots cast in the state, were used to validate the results. Under Attorney General Bill Barr, Trump’s own Justice Department looked allegations made by Trump. So did the Georgia Bureau of Investigation.
