West News Wire: On NBC and Telemundo, an estimated 101.1 million viewers saw the Los Angeles Rams beat the Cincinnati Bengals in the Super Bowl, an increase from 2021 and a thrilling postseason schedule for the NFL.

Last year’s game drew 92 million viewers, the lowest number since 2006.

According to Nielsen, another 11.2 million individuals watched the game online, bringing the total audience to 112.3 million.

Like other playoff games this season, the contest came down to the wire, and competitiveness usually draws in more viewers. The game defied broadcast trends, which have seen viewership plummet year after year.

Nielsen said that 99.2 million people watched the game on NBC, and another 1.9 million on the Spanish-language network Telemundo.
